In the last year itself, Marrakech, witnessed a record number of tourists from all over the world flocking this wonderland!

3. Ladakh, India

Bound by mountains, protected by the Himalayas, inhabited by the Indo-Aryans, adorned by nature, and dictated by climate- Ladakh is among the most beautiful places in the world. Amarnath Yatra 2015

Spiritual Sojourns with Vivek Mahajan:
Amarnath Yatra 2015

The Amarnath shrine, is a beautiful cave situated at an altitude of 3888 m (12,756 ft) in the Sonmarg valley, Kashmir. Accessible from Baltal valley to its east and Pahalgam to its south, the trek to the cave is rife with snow clad mountains, deep endless valleys, and glaciers. Our Ultimate Travel Jockey, Vivek Mahajan went onto this Yatra for a surreal experience.

Q. Tell us something about your trip to the Amarnath cave?

I trekked up to Amarnath last year as a Travel Jockey for FareHawker. It was quite different             from other treks that I have done in the past to Himachal and Uttarakhand. The weather to,                   begin with, was too fickle. It takes minutes to change a sunny afternoon, into overcast weather             with cold breeze flowing rapidly. That apart,  it is quite a beautiful trek. The view of the                   Machoi glacier is nothing short of spectacular. Also, the trails along the sind river is rife with a very interesting terrain particularly during the autumn.

Q. What is Ultimate Travel Jockey? How does it fit into the scheme of what FareHawker does?

Farehawker specializes in Group Bookings. And sometimes, we get queries when the group wants to not only book with us, but want us to design the entire travel experience for them, and sometimes, even to accompany them as co-travellers and explore the place... This is where our Travel Jockey comes in! Simply put, an ultimate travel jockeys are your travel partner, who themselves have traveled widely and are very well aware of various destinations and changing terrains. They may or may not travel along with you, depending on what services have you asked of them, but be rest assured, they will give you an amazing sense of place.

Q. Who are the Ultimate Travel Jockeys associated with FareHawker?

Our Team comprises of Ex-Airliners, Helicopters industry professional, Air Charter professionals and Travel Photojournalists who have a combined experience of over 34 years in the Travel Industry. We share a collective passion for travel and charting into the unknown while being fully committed towards making the trip both, economical and pleasurable for our customers.

Q. Tell us something about the Yatra itself?

Well, Amarnath Yatra is something that is very dear to us. We have been associated with Amarnath Yatra in various ways for a very long time now. Last year itself, we had registered close to 900 bookings throughout the Yatra season from 2nd July to the 29th August. Our Helicopter booking are open in full swing throughout this season. Not only that, we have group bookings from various parts of the country to Srinagar and Pahalgam which are the starting points of the journey up to Amarnath. It is a 2 nights 3 days event wherein pilgrims, travelers, trekkers, nature lovers join us upto the cave. And, this year we are trying to up the ante, by offering a lot more services than before. Our Helicopter and Air Charter services are already open for the Yatra. It is just April and we already have 400 people who have registered with us.

Q. What are the Helicopter services like? How do they work?

Well, we happen to know various people in the private jet industry and that's how we can get access to the ideal private jet and/or Helicopter services to several destinations. Over the year we observed that there was a serious need for a competent facilitator who not only understands these requirements but also have an in depth knowledge of aviation industry entirely, so as to provide a fair and a real services to our clients. To book your services, you simply have to get in touch with us and we will take care of your request with as little as four hours notice. (Our email ids, and contact numbers are provided at the end of this interview)

Q. And from where does the Helicopter ride start, for the trip to Amarnath?

The ride starts from Neelgrath and ends at Panjtarni from where the Holy Cave is not very far. We traverse through the SIndh river, over the Himalayan vistas. The view is quite beautiful.

Q. What if the people want to sign up only for the Helicopter services and not the travel packages?      Or vice versa.

Well, that's fine too. Like I said earlier, we are committed to travel industry in every department. If       someone wants to have an experience of Air Charter with private airlines or Helicopter services, we would be happy to offer them that. If some want to vouch in only for the package deals, then we will accommodate that. We also offer group bookings so as to facilitate economical travel packages. We understand the diverse needs of our fellow travelers and we try our best to accommodate all of their needs.

Q. And the kinds of trip itinerary available.

Four various kinds. We have our trips starting from 16,999 on wards which is inclusive of  air travel, local travel, accommodation and three meals. Not just that, if people want us to design an itinerary according to their specific needs, we are more than willing to accommodate that.

Q. What future plans for FareHawker?

To expand further into the Travel industry and be among the leading travel search engine portals in India and make our presence felt on a global market as well. That apart, we are actively developing our new program- Ultimate Travel Jockey which will see the light of the day this year itself. All in all we're happy to work and constantly create better travel experiences.

Best Tips for Booking Airlines Flight Tickets

Due to Fare war among all the airlines, Airfares are lower than ever these days, but you still have to be savvy to get the best deal.

In addition to the basics—here are some secrets to winning the increasingly opaque airfare game.

Tip No 01#.  Search at the Right Time
                www.farehawker.com
Try searching for airfares after midnight; that's when many airlines update their inventories with the discounted fares & every day offers. If you're only seeking last-minute Web fares, look on airline sites, major booking sites, and aggregator sites (search engines that configure all best on-line suppliers, consolidators, and booking sites) between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning for tickets for the coming weekend. Such fares usually require that you leave on a Saturday and return on Monday or Tuesday, but some airlines offer Friday departures and Sunday returns.
Tip No 02#. Check a Wide Range of  Travel Dates
Online Travel Portal like makemytrip.com, cleartrip.com, expedia, & yatra.com have the most flexible search functions and the major booking sites too. FareHawker will allow you to search for the lowest round-trip or one-way domestic or international fare within a range of months, which it shows as fare outlook on a calendar. Even if you are just using FareHawker's calendar for research, click all the way through an available date; the site frequently shows dates as available. FareHawker will let you search for the lowest price over a weekend you designate; search up to three days before and after your dates; or look for the lowest published fare within a 30-day period. The site recently extended its flexible search option to include international flights, though at press time, it still indicated that the destination airport if you are going to stay in hotel or resort than for saving some more money from your pocket you may choose Flight +Hotel  option for booking
Tip No 03#. Book Cheapest Flight Tickets Early—and On-line
Since airlines allocate only a small percentage of their seats for award travel, it's smart to book months in advance. Just to be safe, book 300 days in advance—when most airlines load award fares. Also, reserve those seats on-line which airlines offer in free. If you do get lucky and are able to reserve an award seat only a week or two before you travel, unfortunately you could get slapped with a high "expediting fee."
Tip No 04#. Use Fare Comparision Aggregator Sites like - FareHawker.com
Once you've figured out which dates will yield you the best fares, search one of the Web's "meta" travel agents. like wego, sky scanner, FareHawker  ixigo.com searches. which at press time was still being tested, searches hundreds of sites and allows you to sort airfare results by departure or arrival time. FareHawker  is a good source for deals from small charter companies and discount airline agencies, as well as major carriers. Cheap flights lets you search flexible dates and, like ixigo.com, offers a calendar with a range of available dates. Here, too, you should click through the available dates to ensure that the fare you want isn't sold out. Aggregator sites don't charge fees themselves, but they might direct you to a site that does.
Tip No 05#. Try to Book Flight Tickets Through Airline's Web Site
If you've found the same low fare on an on-line booking agent like xyz.com and an airline's own Web site, it makes more sense to reserve on the latter to avoid paying the extra or so service fee booking sites now charge. By booking on an airline's site, you'll also avoid the service fees the airlines themselves have begun to charge for booking at ticket offices and airport counters.
to know more about booking any of airlines flight tickets you may reach to FareHawker's  Travel Jockeys and get the best possible advises about your next travel plan.

Where Humanity meets to human. culture created by God !! Where peace remains from thousands of years. history started from a River.....is Varanasi

                1. Dashashwamedha Ghat

                Dashashwamedha Ghat
Dashashwamedha is Varanasi's most popular and accessible bathing ghat, with rows of pandas sitting on wooden platforms under bamboo umbrellas, masseurs plying their trade and boatmen jostling for custom. Its name, "ten horse sacrifices", derives from a complex series of sacrifices performed by Brahma to test King Divodasa: Shiva and Parvati were sure the king's resolve would fail, and he would be compelled to leave Kashi, thereby allowing them to return to their city. However, the sacrifices were so perfect that Brahma established the Brahmeshvara lingam here. Since that time, Dashashwamedha has become one of the most celebrated tirthas on earth, where pilgrims can reap the benefits of the huge sacrifice merely by bathing.

                2. Manikarnika Ghat

                Manikarnika Ghat
Varanasi's pre-eminent cremation ground, Manikarnika Ghat. Such grounds are usually held to be inauspicious, and located on the fringes of cities, but the entire city of Shiva is regarded as Mahashmashana, the Great Cremation Ground for the corpse of the entire universe. The ghat is perpetually crowded with funeral parties, as well as the Doms, its Untouchable guardians, busy and pre-occupied with facilitating final release for those lucky enough to pass away here. Seeing bodies being cremated so publicly has always exerted a great fascination for visitors to the city, but photography is strictly taboo; even having a camera visible may be constructed as intent, and provoke hostility.
Lying at the centre of the five tirthas, manikarnika Ghat symbolizes both creation and destruction, epitomized by the juxtaposition of the sacred well of Manikarnika Kund, said to have been dug by Vishnu at the time of creation, and the hot, sandy ash-infused soil of cremation grounds where time comes to an end. In Hindu mythology, Manikarnika Kund predates the arrival of the Ganga and has its source deep in the Himalayas. Vishnu created the kund with his discus, and filled it with perspiration from his exertions in creating the world, at the behest of Shiva. When Shiva quivered with delight, his earning fell into this pool, which as manikarnika "Jewelled Earring" became the first tirthas in the world. Every yea, after the floodwaters of the river have receded to leave the pool caked in alluvial deposits, the kund is re-dug. Its surroundings are cleaned and painted with brightly coloured folk art, which depicts the presiding goddess, Manikarnika Devi, inviting pilgrims to bathe and worship at its small Vishnu shrine, and at the paduka (footprint) of Vishnu set in marble on the embankment of the ghat.
Strictly speaking, Manikarnika is the name given to the kund and to the ghat, while the constantly busy cremation ground is Jalasi Ghat, dominated by a dark smoke-stained temple built by Queen Ahalya Bai Holkar of Indore in the eighteenth century.

                3. River Front (Ghats)

                River front ghat
The great river banks at Varanasi, built high with eighteenth and nineteenth-century pavilions and palaces, temples and terraces, are lined with an endless chain of stone steps " the ghats " progressing along the whole of the waterfront, altering in appearance with the dramatic seasonal fluctuations of the river level. Each of the hundred ghats, big and small, is marked by a lingam, and occupies its own special place in the religious geography of the city. Some have crumbled over the years, others continue to thrive, with early-morning bathers, brahmin priests offering puja, and people practicing meditation and yoga. Hindus puja, and people practicing meditation and yoga. Hindus regard the Ganges as amrita, the elixir of life, which brings purity to the living and salvation to the dead; sceptical outsiders tend to focus on all-persuasive and extreme lack of hygiene. Ashes to the dead, emissions from open drains and the left-overs from religious rites float by the devout as they go about their bathing and ceremonial cleansing.

                4. Sarnath

                River front ghat
Sarnath is 10 km from the holy city of Varanasi, and is an exceedingly tranquil place. Buddhists worldwide look upon India as the land of the Buddha and a visit to this country means a pilgrimage to those places sacred to the memory of the Enlightened One.
After Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya he came to Sarnath. Here in the Deer Park, he delivered his first sermon, or in religious language, set in motion the Wheel of Law (Maha-Dharmachakra Pravartan).
Sarnath yielded a rich collection of Buddhist sculptures comprising numerous Buddha and Bodhisattva images. Considered amongst the finest specimens of Buddhist art, these have been housed at the museum, adjacent to the site. The antiquities in the museum are datable from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD. Amongst the prized collections of the museum are the Lion Capital of the Mauryan Pillar which has become the National Emblem of India, various images of Lord Buddha in different posture and Tara, octagonal shaft and umbrella are also exhibited.

                5. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple

                kashi vishwanath temple
Also known as the Golden Temple, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the city. Varanasi is said to be the point at which the first jyotirlinga, the fiery pillar of light by which Shiva manifested his supremacy over other gods, broke through the earth's crust and flared towards the heavens. More than the Ghats and even the Ganga, the Shivalinga installed in the temple remains the devotional focus of Varanasi.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND TEMPLE BELLS - INDIAN TEMPLES

Most of the old temples have large bell at the entrance of the temple and you need to ring it before you enter temple. A Temple bell have a scientific phenomenon; it is not just your ordinary metal. It is made of various metals including cadmium, lead, copper, zinc, nickel, chromium and manganese. The proportion at which each one of them mixed is real science behind a bell. Each of these bells is made to produce such a distinct sound that it can create unity of your left and right brain. The moment you ring that bell, bell produces sharp but lasting sound which lasts for minimum of seven seconds in echo mode good enough to touch your seven healing centres or chakras in your body. The moment bell sound happens your brain is emptied of all thoughts. Invariably you will enter state of Tran’s state where you are very receptive. This Trans state is the one with awareness. You are so occupied in mind that only way to awaken you is with a Shock! Bell works as Anti-dote to your mind. Before you enter temple – to awake you and prepare you for taste of awareness is the real reason behind temple bell.

Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple. It commands huge respect from the Jain community worldwide.

It is built on a high plinth, and has high boundary walls that’ll remind you of the fortified temple cities. Beautiful turrets rise from this wall and each of them relates to a cell on the inner face of the wall. Five spires (shikars) rise above the walls and about 20 cupolas each form the roof of a pillared hall. Each spire again has a shrine below, the largest and the most prominent is the one that surmounts the central altar. The temple has 29 halls, 80 domes and the pavilions include 1444 pillars, each of them so intricately and artistically carved that they’ll leave a lasting impression on you.
